Overview

Nigeria’s creative history — its photography, music, fashion and design — is scattered across private collections, old magazines and fading memory. ARCHIVE brings it together in one place, so anyone can explore the people and work that shaped the culture.

My role

  • •Information architecture: organising four disciplines into collections, eras and people that visitors can move between freely.
  • •Visual direction: an editorial, gallery-like interface where the work leads and the UI steps back.
  • •Design system: reusable components and tokens so new exhibits can be added without redesigning pages.

Key decisions

  • •Photography, Music, Fashion and Design are the front doors, with eras and people as filters.
  • •Exhibit pages read like a curated story, mixing long-form text, media and artefact cards.
  • •Neutral surfaces keep colour for the archive’s images, not the interface.

What’s next

The full case study — research, flows and the design system — will be published on Behance. Until then, the links above share the work in progress.
